Module 7: Assignment—cipa, ferpa, and coppa
by Roxanne Pompilio, Dena Hause, and Michelle Snyder
This week we took a deeper look at the importance of keeping student data private. Three important laws and policies that educators and all stakeholders need to be aware of are FERPA, COPPA, and CIPA. The Google presentation below is a collaboration to provide an overview and some additional resources to assist in understanding these critical pieces.
Module 6: AssignMent—LMS Global Learning Consortium
This week we are learning all about "big data." After familiarizing myself with the current national standards and initiatives within education, I decided look a bit deeper into the IMS Global Learning Consortium (GLC), as it is an initiative I heard of but know little about. What follows is a short GoAnimate video presentation that explains the key elements of the LMS Global Learning Consortium and ways SCPA might use the initiative to advance their educational goals for student achievement and meet LCAP requirements.
